Co-Leaders:
Sheldon Cohen, Ph.D., and J. Richard Jennings, Ph.D. The purpose of the Biological and Biomedical Measurement Core is to help investigators choose, measure, and interpret indicators of physiological mechanisms relevant to the disease process under study. Via the links below, we provide descriptive pages on different measures. Via our core, we also provide members of the Pittsburgh Mind-Body Center with information on how to contact local experts for consultation. These experts have agreed to consult on instrumentation and assays in their area of expertise--directing Center members to the best sources of methodological information and guiding them to preferred sources for the purchase of relevant services. In some cases, the Core can also facilitate the temporary sharing of instruments. Periodic seminars and/or lectures are organized on methods of interest to the Pittsburgh mind-body research community. |
